Non- Stop and Non- Rest

Non-stop and non-rest.On friday last, ie.on the 10th july, we left for Kuala Trengganu on the invitation of the Trengganu State Goverment. Were put up at one of the oldest and earliest hotel in town, close to the famous Pasar Payang. No complains, since it was a sponsored trip. What mattered was almost 70 of the teaching and general staff joined in on the weekend trip.Right from the word start till the last day, it had been a most memorable weekend trip. An ice breaking trip i would think.Everyone enjoyed themselves. So, if there were complains , i didn't hear them. Thanks to all the committee members of the staff club. They were all fantastic in making sure everything went smoothly as scheduled.

Day one was spent at the Masjid Kristal, beautiful architecture. The Taman Tamaddun nearby is worth a second visit. Perhaps with darling hubby and the children (?).Then it was to Pulau Kapas. a totally new experience for me. The long walk from the jetty to the chosen site was quite a distance. Thank god, the head was most sporting all the way.

The night was sitting dinner hosted by the host. wonderful and delicious dishes.Wonderful singing by the established crooners. of course i had to do the ridiculous towards the end of the session with a shake, shake your booty with Baanu and Suhana. Oh shucks, it was fun. What the heck, forget the protocol.

Alas, i had to take the earliest flight home the next day. Checked in at IAB around 4 pm on the same day.

Today is day two of the kursus. Quite an interesting one. Just that the lecturer tried to squeeze in too many things all at one time. Kinda of distorted, the finished product.Did my part in the mentoring session this afternoon. Everyone kinda surprised by my antics as a protege. In fact, outdid the mentor. Oh well, that's me at my best.

Heard from the lecturer the letter will be out soon. Not putting too much hope since apparently, almost the whole of the Kementerian people applied for the post. Am not surprised if cronyism and politics rules the day. Anyway, took up the offer by the BM. Thank you Che Som for doing all the sorting of documents.Que sera sera.

Tommorow is my last day at IAB. Am not looking forward to going back to routine work. Will be many more rounds of non-stop and non-rest.....
