The first time in my 29 years of service as a government servant ,I am able to take the day off, on a working day ,that is. Not any other day but on the day I was brought into this world by my mum, 53 years ago.

Ya, no secrets. I am 53 today on the first day of April. Though many chose not to agree that I could be that old.Just last week, at the hair salon, this lady who sat beside me thought I was in my late 30s. Now that is a bit too unreal to swallow, but late 40s, maybe I'll have to agree.Vain woman , vain

Anyway, age aside,I took the plunge today to go for a hair lift?( I don't think there is such a word). What I meant was a new look, since I have added another feather to my cap as a grandma. So one gotta to try and look a little more hip .

I wish I have some more time left to go for a good massage but the the time spent at the hair salon stretched for almost 5 hours.

I wish I could take another day of extended holiday . But too many events happening at my workplace.

I wish I could do a hundred and one other things today. Oh well, maybe another day.

It had been a good day . A lot of well wishes from a lot of people, even from ex colleagues, some of whom are quite junior, but they remembered.

Feels good to be surrounded by lots of people who appreciates me for what I am.
