Almost there

It had been quite a week. started with the 6 persons team coming in to check on the examination files. Continued with meetings with the staff on two consecutive days. Quite hectic i must say. To top it all, there was the lessons that needed to be prepared before class. Thank God, my memories are still quite ok with the facts to convey to the students.
Then, the real test came on Thursday with the visit of an official from the district education office. I thought it was just a quick visit, ask, ask, ask, talk, talk, talk and then thank you and good bye. but it wasn't to be so. it was a thorough round the school, look here, look there, questions here, questions there. looking through all the files, questions here again, questions there again. It was an exhausting 4 hour thing. Was quite drained out by the end of the session , me and my subordinate. But it was worth it when she showed the end results. The total score read 97.8% !!! Bravo and congratulations to all of us.
It had been a most tiring first 2 months this year with everyone chipping in every possible way, revamping the filing system, each one doing their part. Though the exercise was tiring dan sapped most of our physical and mental energy, we all ploughed on. And the end results showed through and through. Nevermind mind if others thought that the scorings were too lenient. The official, i assumed is quite neutral in her judgement. Perhaps that person who voiced such an opinion was hoping for not a so good impression . After all , she has been making complaints after complaints, revamping and revamping everything possible under the sun. By the way things are going on, looks like she has been send to this school as a troubleshooter, to over haul the entire 'troubled' system, i pressume. Wonder who has been feeding information about the state of the school. If that be so, how come it is the envy of all other schools in the district?, still the choice amongst parents? and still producing quality results? Hmm.... I wonder. I sensed someone out there won't be too pleased with outcome of this visit. Too bad, better luck next time.
In the meanwhile, we are all going to hang on to the fact that we are good. Good as a team, good at producing and delivering results. With both feet still rooted to the ground, we are going to strive on and by doing so, the vision to be the best in the district could become a reality in the near future. Good luck to us all. Insyallah..
