When I wrote on my Fb account timeline, about my experience with dealing with illness, I had no idea I was going to get responses that I didn’t see it coming from that angle.
Now looking back, I have always been a very independent person. I have always been able to sort out things on my own. Even during my illness, about 6 years ago, the going to and forth to the hospital was all done on my own. Only when I was on the bed in the ward did I have company. My husband, my son and my daughter took turns to keep me company at nights.
Looking back, I did post a picture of me alone with no-one beside me at the surgery clinic waiting to see the doctor. Wherelse I saw others who came accompanied.
Sometimes I feel it was no big deal. But at times I do miss that extra support, that extra ear to hear out what the doctor has to say to me.
I suppose this the expected setback for someone who has been nurtured from young to stand on her own two feet.
