Today is the third day of another lock down for our state of Selangor. Partial, that is.
On a personal level, today is a sad day for the Omarian family and the late Dato’ Hj Wan Ismail bin Wan Daud’s ( my maternal grandfather) family. My mother’s sister passed away at about 1.45 am today in Alor Star, Kedah. Just about three months ago her partner in life passed away. And that too happened during the total lockdown The sad thing when deaths or family related events happened during this restricted movement, you feel so helpless. The distance, the SOP to abide by to enable one to cross border from the state of Selangor to Kedah. The forms that you need to fill to submit to the police station . By the time its done, the burial event would have been over. Not forgetting the requirements of not more than two persons travelling in one car for every intended journey. Otherwise those on duty at strategic points have the authority to deny your passage through. If you are lucky you just get away with a warning. In cases where the persons in charge abide strictly by the rule , you can be smacked with a hefty fine.
My thoughts and prayers go out to my cousins and the immediate family.
Oh Allah, forgive Wan Halijah bt Wan Ismail and elevate her station among those who are guided. Send her along the path of those who came , and forgive us and her.O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for her her grave and shed light upon her in it. Aamiin
